Epcot Food and Wine Festival 2012 – Taste your way around the world!

Celebrating its 17th year, the 2012 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival will be taking place Sep. 28 – Nov. 12, 2012.

This highly anticipated special event features cuisine and beverages from around the world. Foodies and wine lovers can take part in experiencing new foods and drinks at the international marketplaces, wine and mixology seminars, culinary demonstrations, special events and experiences, and enjoy live music.

Food and Wine Festival Marketplaces

With nearly 30 booths to choose from you are bound to find something that strikes your fancy. Travel the globe from Florida to South Africa to Scandinavia to New Zealand to Argentina to Greece. You can try food from all over the world without ever leaving Epcot.

New this year is Florida, featuring the freshest local ingredients and Terra, the first ever all vegan menu.

Wine and Beverage seminars

Taking place daily at the Festival Welcome Center are wine and beverage seminars. You’ll learn about the process of making the wine or beverage and helpful tips for the winery or beverage expert, and get to sample the selected beverage.

Mixology seminars

At the Festival Welcome Center, learn the art of a great cocktail from a mixologist and get to sample the cocktails made. This seminar daily at 6 pm.

Premium special events and experiences

Every year Disney offers fun, unique and educational dining events and experiences. New this years is the Italian Regional Food and Wine Luncheon were you can enjoy freshly prepared Italian dished that are perfectly paired with Italian wines. Many favorites like Party for the Senses, Culinary Adventure in Signature Dining and Mexican Tequila Lunch have returned.

Sweet events and experiences

If you have a sweet tooth then these events are for you. Indulge in sinfully sweet creations from pastry chefs and chocolatiers. This year 3D Disney’s Dessert Discovery, The Discovery of Grand Marier, The Discovery of Chocolate and Sweet Sundays return.

No cost special events

Not everything at the festival costs money. There are some fun and exciting things you can see and do that are free. This year in additional to the cranberry bog, guests can check out a real watermelon patch. Also new for 2012 is From the Bean to the Bar, hosed by Ghirardelli, see a chocolate sculpture created by one of the Disney pastry chefs. Eat to the Beat concert series

Taking place nightly at the American Gardens Theatre is the Eat to the Beat concert series.

Returning bands include Sugar Ray, Howard Jones, Gin Blossoms and Air Supply. This years new artist are Smash Mouth, Blues Traveler, Dennis DeYoung (STYX) and Javier Colon.
