The newest restaurant in Magic Kingdom is Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen. This wild jungle adventure restaurant opened in December 2015 with a lot of excitement. If the Jungle Cruise is one of your favorite rides, then you MUST try Skipper Canteen. It’s staff is full of those great corny jokes that you love on the attraction for which it’s named.
Guests will find the menu to feature a lot of worldly flavors, including dishes like curried vegetable crew stew (perfect for vegetarians), Trader Sam’s head-on shrimp (just be glad it’s shrimp!) and rice noodle bowl with duck. If you miss the Adventure’s Club, then you might want to save room for the Kungaloosh! dessert – an African-inspired chocolate cake with caramelized bananas, cashew-caramel ice cream and topped with coffee dust.
