Lotus House at Epcot Flower and Garden Festival

The Lotus House sits across from the China pavilion along the waterfront. We found the menu items at the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival to be better than those offered at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival. We were surprised by how good some of the items really were. Many of the items feature fruit, both food and drinks.

The pan-fried vegetable bun is similar to a steamed bun that you find on a dim sum menu at Asian restaurants. It was just slightly fried and stuffed with vermicelli and vegetables. It wasn’t our favorite. Unless you are a vegetarian we’d suggest skipping this one.

The Spring pancake with grilled chicken and green apple is part of the TRYit! items. We loved this dish! The pancake was light, the chicken cooked perfectly, the apples crisp and the sauce spicy; making this sampling come together perfectly.

This strawberry dessert was a surprise. It was amazing! The fresh strawberries are coated in a hard-shell sesame coating that snaps when you sink your teeth in. It’s delicious and not too sweet.

Unfortunately we missed out on getting to try the peach oolong bubble tea, but it looks wonderful.
