The party will be taking place on select nights now through Halloween, October 31, 2018. It’s a hard ticket event so your regular park admission ticket will not get you in. You’ll need to purchase a separate Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ticket. Guests who attend the event will get to enjoy special character interactions, dance parties, trick-or-treating, exclusive merchandise, Happy HalloWishes fireworks, Boo-to-You parade, Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, delicious Halloween-inspired treats, and more.

Thanks to Walt Disney World Resort, we attended the first night of the party and were able to check everything out that you want to know about this year’s party. We started out the night checking out the merchandise, the delicious treats being offered this year (we even tried the Not-So-Poison Apple cupcake), and we meet the hosts of the party – Mickey and Minnie.

Three of the attractions have a special twist that’s been put on them just for the party. Everyone’s favorite pirate, Captain Jack Sparrow, is now joined by some interactive pirates on Pirates of the Caribbean. Along the route to the treasures you’ll meet Gunpowder Pete. He wants to steal all your treasure! At Mad Tea Party, you’ll experience a new soundtrack with specialty lighting. Last but not least, Space Mountain is also a little bit different. Guests will get to experience the attraction with the lights COMPLETELY off and a rockin’ soundtrack.

The merchandise is super cool this year and we had the opportunity to speak with Steven Miller, Disney Parks Merchandise Communication Manager, about all of the new merchandise for Halloween and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Take a look at what you can get this year!

Not-So-Poison Apple Cupcake - Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party
Not-So-Poison Apple Cupcake

What did we try? Well, we received a Not-So-Poison Apple Cupcake courtesy of Disney. This cupcake was A M A Z I N G! It is a spiced apple cupcake with pecan crunch and topped with buttercream frosting that looks like an apple. It’s HUGE too! The cupcake is twice the size of the usual Disney Parks cupcakes so you’ll definitely want to share. (Not that I did!)

Hades Nachos

We also made a stop into Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe for the Hades Nachos. This dish was recommended to us by Brandon, Walt Disney World Ambassador. It’s black bean nacho chips, topped with lots of melted cheese (you know the stuff everyone loves) and spicy buffalo chicken. It was delicious! If you like spicy food, you’ll really enjoy this dish.

Oogie Boogie Meringue

For those of you that are popcorn bucket collectors, make sure you get the Oogie Boogi one early in the night. Unfortunately, (sad face) we were unable to get one by the time we were done checking out all of the must-do things that you want to know about. They go REALLY fast so it get as soon as you get to the party!

We had a great time at the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! We HIGHLY recommend attending the event if you are at Walt Disney World, or in the Orlando area, between now and October, 31. You’ll have a great time!
