Like the weather vane atop the house of 17 Cherry Tree Lane switching directions in Mary Poppins, the menu too has changed for Springtime at Jolly Holiday Bakery Café . As of March 11, 2015, this beloved Disneyland Resort eatery added many new savory and sweet delights that reflect the season.

Savory dishes include a new toasted ham and Swiss sandwich with apple chutney dressing. A pair of cold sandwiches are also available as well. First is a roast beef sandwich served with bleu cheese on a French baguette roll. And, back by popular demand, is the tuna salad sandwich on a brioche bun.

Of course, the tomato basil soup is a mainstay on the menu and isn’t going anywhere. But, for those seeking a change of pace, there is a new chicken noodle soup to try. Light eaters can also choose the delectable sun-dried tomato Caesar salad.

To paraphrase Mary Poppins, “a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down.” If that’s the case, it’s a wonder what she would think about a room full of sugary treats? This year, the pastry artists of Jolly Holiday Bakery Café have been inspired by several varieties of Spring berries. Raspberries sparked the theme for a awesome-looking crème brûlée.  A magnificent new muffin will also debut with raspberries and lemon zest. Completing the triumvirate of tasty berry treats is a sensational strawberry shortcake bundt cake.

If berries aren’t your thing, a pistachio Mickey Macaron might be the ticket. It will surely make the other macarons “green” with envy.  Hungry bunnies and humans alike will drool at the sight of the carrot cupcake. This fabulous concoction is a mini feast for both the eyes and palate.

How about a bit of chocolate? Everyone loves chocolate, right? There’s a decadent white chocolate mousse whoopee pie and coffee éclair. Lest we not forget the opera cake, which features multiple layers of almond sponge cake soaked in coffee syrup, coated with ganache and coffee buttercream, then covered in chocolate glaze.  It’s enough to satisfy the cravings of any chocoholic.

As quick as you can say “Bob’s your uncle,” my mouth is watering. Whether you’re in the mood for sit down meal or a quick sugar fix, Jolly Holiday Bakery Café is practically perfect in every way.
