PB&G to host Flashback Fridays this May

Do you miss the days of big hair, big dresses and ’80s and ’90s rock? Well, PB&G at Four Seasons Orlando is throwing Flashback Friday events this May.

Inspired by the traditional prom (May is prom season after all), Flashback Fridays will give guests the opportunity to pull out that retro attire and head to PB&G. There will be a full buffet, ‘80s and ‘90s music and décor, photo stations, classic ‘80s movies played on PB&G’s televisions and prizes for Best Dressed.

Flashback Fridays will take place on May 13, 20 and 27, 2016 from 7 pm to 11 pm. Tickets are 160 per couple, or 85 per single. A portion of all ticket sales will benefit Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando. Four Seasons Orlando employees are volunteering to organize a springtime prom-inspired event for Nemours’ inpatients and teen outpatients. Director of Food and Beverage, Stephen Wancha says, “PB&G is a great setting, and our staff is really looking forward to embracing the theme. Plus, we could not be more thrilled to help support Nemours by organising a prom event for their patients.”

The Menu

The Flashback Fridays buffet menu will consist of fun food, such as truffle popcorn, Philly cheese steak eggrolls, “lambsicles” with mint salsa, a cheese and charcuterie display, a seafood tower, heirloom tomato and burrata cheese, and a variety of desserts. Beverages include a spiked punch, select beers and wines.

The couple named Prom King and Queen, a.k.a. the best dressed couple, will receive a gift certificate for four to enjoy dinner at Capa, Four Seasons Orlando’s Spanish-inspired restaurant. There will also be prizes for second and third place.

Getting the ’80s prom look

The Salon at Four Seasons Orlando is offering hair and makeup to complete the look. Spike it, crimp it, and spray it – guests can go all out with the big ’80s style hair. Banana clips, feather clips, combs, bows and scrunchies will be on hand. An ‘80s hairstyle including a wash and style will be available for 100, for those who only want their hair styled it will be 80, and makeup for 60. There will be ’80s fragrances, such as Love’s Baby Soft, Xclamation!, Electric Youth, and Malibu Musk available for a complimentary spritz.
