Review: LeFou’s Brew

Gaston’s Tavern features a signature drink, LeFou’s Brew. The non-alcoholic concoction is frozen apple juice with toasted marshmallow syrup topped with an all-natural passion fruit mango foam. It’s delicious! If you’re not overly fond of apple juice, you can ask the Cast Member to add more marshmallow syrup to the brew. We found it to be better with an extra pump of syrup. It mellows out the apple juice flavor and adds an additional bit of sweetness, which is a nice contrast to the tartness from the foam.

If you have been to Islands of Adventure at Universal and are wondering how it matches up to Butterbeer at Wizarding World of Harry Potter, it’s very different. Butterbeer is sweeter, much sweeter. Whether or not you like Butterbeer, I’d highly suggest trying LeFou’s Brew. They are nothing alike. (And for the record, we do like the frozen Butterbeer!)

For 9.99 you can get LeFou’s Brew in a souvenir stein with Gaston and LeFou on it or you get it in a goblet that has an image of Belle. The brew in a souvenir stein or goblet is not an option on the Disney Dining Plan.
