Trattoria al Forno replacing Kouzzina by Cat Cora. Kouzzina is set to close on Sep. 30, 2014 and in December, Trattoria al Forno will be taking its place.

Coming this December to Disney’s BoardWalk

Trattoria al Forno (translation – Italian restaurant serving simple food baked in an oven) will feature dishes from various regions of Italy. For example, braised beef Bolognese with house-made cavatelli from Bologna, semolina tagliatelli carbonara from rome and pork chop alla Milanese from Milan. Other dishes, include chicken breast alla Parmagiana with tagliatelle pasta; shrimp with garlic, capers and anchovy butter with polenta; whole roasted fish with roasted vegetables; baked lasagna; grilled steak; slow-cooked lamb shank with polenta; eggplant rollatini and Neopolitan-style pizzas baked in wood-burning ovens.

Guests will be treated to fresh mozzarella made in-house daily and cavatelli, small dumpling-shaped pasta, olives, caponata, seasonal risottos, fresh seafood and vegetables. According to Disney Parks Blog, “A seasonal risotto will always be on the menu, and vegetarians will appreciate the ruffled campanelle pasta with green beans, roasted potatoes and Genovese pesto.”

For dessert, enjoy tiramisù, lemon panna cotta with almond crunch and berries, gelatos, and bomboloni (Italian donut holes) with dark chocolate and vanilla gelato. Cappuccino and espresso will also be on the menu.

All of the wines will be from Italy, including Tuscany, Veneto and Piedmont. Over 60 wines offered by the bottle and more than 25 wines by the glass, such as Chiantis, Super Tuscans, Prosecco, Pinot Grigio and Moscato. Signature cocktails, Italian beers and a signature-blend Italian coffee roasted just for Trattoria al Forno can also be enjoyed.
