Low-carb Dining
Whether Adkins or South Beach, dining at Walt Disney World on a low-carb meal plan is possible. Make sure to note your special dietary needs when making your Advanced Dining Reservations, and when you arrive ask to speak to the Chef or Manager so you have the most accurate information.
Here are a few tips to make dining easier:
- Keep a pocket guide to low-carb dining with you.
- Pack your own snacks to have in the park as it can be difficult at times to find snack items to fill your needs.
- Ask which dessert items are sugar-free and/or low-carb. If there isn’t an option, ask what they can substitute. Many restaurants with prixe-fixe menus or when using the Disney Dining Plan, are happy to find something to suit your needs.
- Bring drink packets (like Crystal Light) so you have more drink options.
For those on the Disney Dining Plan, make sure to fill out the Guest Dietary Request Form. This will ensure that Disney can accommodate your requests, especially if you are strict and not eating any sugars including fruit.
