Be Our Guest Restaurant receives its first award
Be Our Guest Restaurant received its first award at the National Restaurant Association (NRA) Operator Innovations Awards.
Due to the state-of-the-art kiosks and behind-the-scenes technology this restaurant has been recognized for its innovation. The technology is used during the lunchtime dining when guests order their food from the kiosks and take a rose pager (which uses radio frequency technology) to their table and magically the food arrives.
How does Disney feel about receiving this award? “It is a fantastic accomplishment for our leadership team to be recognized by our peers,” says Maribeth Bisienere, vice president Food & Beverage and Merchandise Line of Business for The Walt Disney Company.
According to Jeffrey W. Davis, convention chair, “The 2013 Operator Innovations Awards winners redefine how the industry views innovation and will serve as the benchmark for other operators to apply the same innovative spirit within their own operations.”
