California Grill reservations open August 26

We’ve been keeping a close eye on the refurbishment of California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Finally, we have confirmation that it will reopen with a new menu and look on September 9, and starting accepting reservations on August 26.

It has undergone a complete makeover with a new modern, warm atmosphere and lighter, seasonal fare. The sushi bar has been expanded with a 12-course “omaskase” menu chosen by the chef.

Don’t worry, beverages weren’t forgot. The California Grill has a new climate-controlled wine display case to showcase 1,600 bottles and 72% of the wines will come from California. Sake offerings have been expanded to include cask strength, light and sparkling. In addition, eight craft beers (most from California) have been selected to choose from.
