Mystical Spirits of the Blue Bayou premium dining experience at Disneyland for Halloween
Halloween time is set to kickoff at Disneyland Resort beginning September 11th. This means lots of family-friendly fun during Mickey’s Halloween Party. A new dining experience is being offered this year: Dr. Facilier and his hoard will host “Mystical Spirits of the Blue Bayou” in New Orleans Square.
This 3-course dinner will feature a bevy of bayou favorites on the menu. To begin your spooky adventure, guests are offered a choice of two appetizers. The first option is the “Beguiling” Bayou Crab Cake served with creole slaw and a tart rémoulade sauce. If crab doesn’t quite do it for you, there’s also the goat cheese Bon Coeur Tart. A crispy pastry is filled with warm, oozy melted goat cheese and presented alongside baby spinach leaves, golden beets, and thin slices of prosciutto. It’s drizzled blood-red dried cherry vinaigrette.A trio of murderous main courses are available to kill your appetite. For the seafood lovers, there’s a sautéed Red Fish with crispy rock shrimp, Louisiana long rice, haricot vert (French green beans), and an étouffée sauce. Want something with a little more “meat on the bones?” If so, then consider the Braised Bayou Short Ribs. It comes with bleu cheese mashed potatoes, baby carrots, and a huckleberry-pinot noir reduction. There’s also the Bourbon-Glazed Chicken Breast served atop smoked-white cheddar polenta. The sides include cooked asparagus spears and a savory thyme jus.
There are also a pair of “to-die-for” desserts to conclude this frightening feast. The first choice is Dark Chocolate Crème Brûlée with a salted caramel macaroon on the side. Alternatively, you can try the Almond Praline Cheesecake that comes with honey beignets.
None other than the Voodoo man himself, Dr. Facilier from The Princess and the Frog movie, will be in the flesh to entertain guests. This mirthful Medicine Man will go to all the tables and interact with diners as they enjoy their meals. Music is being be provided by the Cadaver Dans and a band of mischievous pirates from the Caribbean.
At the end, attendees will receive a memorable lithograph of original artwork by famed Disney Animator Eric Goldberg. Afterwards, guests will be taken to a specially designated reserve area at the main hub to see the Halloween Screams Fireworks Spectacular.
The Mystical Spirits of the Blue Bayou premium dining event will take place on the following dates: September 25, 28, 30 and October 2, 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 19, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31. It runs from 7:00 PM to 9:45 PM with check-in starting at 4:00 pm at the Blue Bayou Restaurant. Guests are required to purchase admission to Mickey’s Halloween Party separately. The cost for this event is $150 per person and is paid at the time you book. Reservations are arranged directly through the Disneyland website: Mystical Spirits of the Blue Bayou reservations or by calling (714) 781-DINE (3463).

I really want to attend this, but it is sold out for two person tables for Oct 14. Since you are having people check in at 4 pm, does that mean you may sell off no – show tickets at that time?
And if I were to buy tickets, do we have to check in and hang around from 4 until it starts at 7, or return at 7?
Thanks,
Bernadette

If people do not check in by 4, will you sell their tickets (to me?)
Dining at Disney
Hi Bernadette! You’ll have to contact Disneyland directly. Since we aren’t connected to Disney, there is no way for us to know.
