Two more days added to Mickey’s Backyard BBQ

During the warm summer months, guests can enjoy Mickey’s Backyard BBQ. Now, there are two more days to experience this character dining experience!

Mickey’s Backyard BBQ is located at Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. In the past, guests could only dine two days a week. This summer there will be four days to enjoy this all-you-care-to-eat picnic. Reservations can be made for Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The buffet includes barbecue ribs and chicken, hot dogs, hamburgers, baked beans, corn-on-the-cob, mac and cheese, and a variety salads and fresh fruit. For dessert, there are frozen treats, including the Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar (our favorite!). Beverages are included, such as iced tea, lemonade, soft drinks, and for the grown-ups – Bud Light, Yuengling, Chardonnay, Merlot, White Zinfandel and Red Sangria. They’ll be adding some new dishes too – jambalaya, honey-mustard baked chicken, salads, kid-friendly veggies and warm fruit cobbler or strawberry shortcake.

While dining, a band performs country-western music. Once things wind down a bit (cause you’ll be going back for seconds), Mickey, Mickey, Goofy, and Chip an Dale join in all the fun. You can get down with the characters on the dance floor. At the end of the evening, Mickey and Minnie step outside for pictures.
