Review: Earl of Sandwich
Earl of Sandwich is a very popular quick service restaurant located in Downtown Disney. There is almost always a long line for this restaurant; however, don’t let it intimate you. The line actually moves very quickly.
Ambiance
Despite being crowded, the front of house was very organized. After ordering, our food was up within five minutes. Surprisingly we were able to find a table right away. It always baffles me when you wait in line for 15 minutes just to order and then can find a table immediately.
Menu
The menu at Earl of Sandwich consists of what you would expect from a sandwich shop: soups, salads, and sandwiches. Earl of Sandwich is different from other sandwich shops however in the fact that they offer sandwich combinations that you will not find anywhere else. All the food at Earl of Sandwich is also made with fresh high quality ingredients.
Food and Drink
If you think this restaurant is going to be like Subway (like I did) you are wrong. It is so much better. I had The Original 1762, my husband had The Full Montagu, my dad had the Caribbean Jerk Chicken, and my girls shared the Hawaiian BBQ.  The bread is fresh and toasted just right. All the ingredients are fresh, and they have figured out how to balance all the ingredients perfectly.  Even my picky eater, who asked me six times to make sure that they would not put the yucky cheese (what she calls American cheese) on her sandwich, loved hers.
Service
Since this is a quick service restaurant, there isn’t much service here. You order your food from a cast member at a podium, then you pick up your order from a window. Seating is first come first serve. If it’s crowded, it’s a good idea to have one person find a table while another gets the food.
Overall
Now I know why everyone loves Earl of Sandwich so much. I have heard that there is also a Thanksgiving sandwich on the menu that is also amazing. I think I know what I will be trying on our next visit.
Alexia is a fan of all things Disney, especially the food! When she is not helping plan magical vacations you can find her on Facebook or Twitter.

My experience at Earl Of Sandwich was not just about the yummy food but about the excellent service. While waiting in line my 16 year old son collapsed. The ladies working the floor were right by our side very quickly to help. My son came too and was moved to a booth while waiting on the paramedics to check him. During this whole time the ladies stayed with us got my son water and a cool towel for his head, and also put his order in right away. Thankfully he just fainted from dehydration but these ladies went far beyond their job. I am so thankful for their help and caring words. I will recommend this place to all my friends traveling to Disney and I will never forget how wonderful they were to my son. Thank you very much for having such a wonderful establishment.
