The Mickey Check displays healthy menu options for kids
The Mickey Check debuted earlier this month at Be Our Guest Restaurant and is part of the Disney Magic of Healthy Living initiative.

The Mickey Check is a tool created to help families choose nutritious menu options. Items with the Mickey Check must meet Disney Nutrition Guidelines which are the U.S. Dietary Guidelines for Americans. It focuses on appropriate portions and limiting sodium, sugar, saturated fat and trans fat. The kids meals will include at least three of these: lean protein, beans, eggs and nuts; fruits and vegetables; whole grains; or low-fat dairy.

The symbol is currently being added to the quick-service menu at Disney World and Disneyland. It will appear on table service menus in January. So for those of you looking for healthy options for your kids, look for the Mickey Check.
