Top five cheese pizzas at Disney World
It’s National Cheese Pizza Day! To celebrate, we’re sharing our top five cheese pizzas at Disney World.
#5 Pizza Margherita
Over at Walt Disney World Swan Hotel is Il Mulino New York Trattoria. The food here is wonderful! Their Pizza Margherita has tomato sauce, basil and Buffalo mozzarella. For guests who try to avoid white flour, there is a Pizza Tre Fromaggi that is a whole wheat pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella, locatelli and parmigiano cheese.
Il Mulino does not accept the Disney Dining Plan. However, it does accept the Tables in Wonderland membership card.
#4 Oven-dried Tomato Flatbread
Ok. So it’s not pizza per say but it’s close enough and definitely worth making the list. The oven-dried tomato flatbread is on the menu at California Grill and is topped with beefsteak tomatoes, mozzarella di Bufala, fresh tiny basil and aged balsamic vinaigrette. It has tons of cheese! Check out our review of California Grill here.
Disney Dining Plan credits are excepted here. Two for basic and Deluxe Dining Plan. One for Premium and Platinum. Tables in Wonderland cards are excepted.
#3 Classic Cheese
Wolfgang Puck Express has two locations in Downtown Disney. We almost always visit the one on the Marketplace side. Their Classic Cheese pizza is great! It’s simple… just tomato sauce and cheese. All of the pizzas are individual size and range from 10 to 13. For more adventures pizza eaters, try the Barbecued Chicken. It’s amazing!
Disney Dining Plan quick-service credits are excepted here.
#2 Quattro Formaggi
Portobello Country Italian Trattoria in Downtown Disney is located near Fulton’s Crab House, heading out of Pleasure Island to Marketplace. Their Quattro Formaggi is slightly different than others. It has mozzarella, gorgonzola (you don’t see that on many pizzas), parmigiano and fontina with sun-dried tomatoes.
Disney Dining Plan table-service credits are excepted. As well as Tables in Wonderland membership cards.
#1 Quattro Formaggi
Our number one pizza comes from Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria in Epcot’s Italy Pavilion. This restaurant served authentic wood fired pizzas. The flour is imported from Naples, they use San Marzano tomatoes, housemade mozzarella and water from wells that are identical to the water in Naples. The Quattro Formaggi has mozzarella, parmesan, fontina and porvolone cheeses. It’s available in the three sizes: individual, large and 1/2 meter. All of their pizzas are fantastic. We also love the Carciofi and Piccante.
Disney Dining Plan table-service credits are excepted. As well as Tables in Wonderland membership cards.
