Bar du Chocolat and Champagne Tasting at Food and Wine Weekends
Waldorf Astoria’s Food and Wine Weekends takes place every weekend during the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival at Waldorf Astoria and Hilton Bonnet Creek, located next door.
A wide range of events take place including an exquiste wine pairing dinner at Bull and Bear, The Art of Sushi Pairing at Zeta Bar and Sushi Lounge and Bar du Chocolate and Champagne Tasting. We checked out a few of the events this year including the Bar du Chocolate and Champagne Tasting. This truly is a chocolate-lovers paradise!
Everything at the table is served a la carte. The prices for the chocolate range from $2 to $7 per piece.
Sparkling wines, champagne and rose champagne are offered by the glass and bottle. Prices range from $12 – $37 for a glass and $45 – $165 for a bottle. Chandon, Piper Heidsieck, Perrier Jouet and Moet & Chandon are some of the ones offered.
The desserts were all either white, milk or dark chocolate. Guests could choose from truffles, eclairs, bundt cakes, macaroons, mousse, cookies, cake pops and Napoleon, to just name a few. It was incredible hard to decide what to get because so many of the desserts looked amazing. In the end we went with some of the macaroons, cookies, whoopie pie and Napoleon. Not one of the desserts wasn’t amazing. The gooey chocolate cookie with powdered sugar and the Napoleon were our favorites.
Guests can enjoy their chocolate desserts and champagne in Peacock Alley or they can be place in a nice box to take back to your room.
For chocolate-lovers, this is a do-not-miss experience! You’ll definitely want to check this out next year.
Disclaimer: We received the chocolates and champagne complimentary from Waldorf Astoria. This in no impacts our review.
