Epcot Flower and Garden Festival: Bontanas Botánico

New to the 2015 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival is Bontanas Botánico. The Outdoor Kitchen features Latin American fare.

The menu at Bontanas Botánico has very traditional Latin American food. Guests can enjoy ceviche, a sweet corn pancake, arepas and tres leches.

The White Corn Arepa with braised beef and Chayote slaw was much better than we anticipated. The slaw was a nice contrast to the heaviness of the arepa. We enjoyed the Polar Beer (from Caracas, Venezuela) with it. If you’ve never had it, Polar is a lager and a great beer for hot weather.

We are big fans of ceviche so we couldn’t resist trying this one. The Seafood Ceviche consists of shrimp, scallops and grouper with tomato, bell pepper, onion, mango and avocado. It was very light. It could have used a bit more lime and a dash of salt. Overall, it was pretty good.
