Watermelon salad with pickled red onions, BW Farms baby arugula, feta cheese and balsamic reduction is part of the TRYit! selections. It’s a fantastic dish with fresh, bright flavors. This dish might be a little much for kids that are picky but as a adults, we loved it.
Another favorite of ours is the shrimp with stone ground grits with Andouille sausage, Zellwood corn, tomatoes and cilantro. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, not chewy. The Andouille sausage added a nice kick and the corn a sweetness.
One of our favorite desserts at the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival has been the angle food cake with macerated Florida strawberry and fresh whipped cream. It’s part of the TRYit! menu and kids will love this because it’s just like strawberry shortcake. The berries were so fresh and super sweet. Some of the best strawberries we’ve had.
Florida Orange Groves Hot Sun wine is very interesting. This smooth, dry white wine is made with tomatoes and has a hint of pepper. We can’t say we liked it, and we can’t say we didn’t. It’s very unique! It’s a wine that you have to be careful of what you eat with it. We liked it with the watermelon salad best.
