Steakhouse 55 offers new seasonal items for spring
Looks like Steakhouse 55 at the Disneyland Hotel is finally getting into the seasonal menu game. After years of maintaining the same offerings, it will now highlight items according to the time of year. This is great news for us foodies! Apparently Chef Marcel St. Pierre is continuing the evolution of this fine dining establishment.
For spring 2015, there will be a number of great options to choose. Starting with appetizers, there is a Chilled White Asparagus with Serrano ham mixed with shaved Pecorino Romano cheese and finely minced fava beans. A grapefruit essence will add citrusy, sour notes to compliment the other ingredients.

The Fresh Pasta Tagliatelle is another spectacle to behold. It includes julienned zucchini, cherry tomatoes and a stone fruit-flavored mustard syrup. Another Italian-style plate is the Seared Carpaccio of Beef alongside arugula lettuce, mandarin orange wedges, whipped creamy horseradish, and smoked sea salt.

For the main course, you can have the Moroccan-spiced King Salmon. This Middle Eastern-inspired dish is laden with a spicy crust similar to a Cajun blackened fish. It will be served with creamed corn and rich Plugrá butter.

Finally, the Steakhouse 55 Chef’s Tasting Menu gets a spring update. It begins with a Caprese salad consisting of tomato wedges, mozzarella, and balsamic vinegar. The entrée is an 8-ounce Grilled Prime Flatiron Steak cooked to your specifications. On the side is polenta and oyster mushrooms with hollandaise sauce atop. For dessert, you get a Vanilla Crème Brûlée with a cute little lemon-flavored madeleine cookie, Chantilly cream and sweet strawberry compote.
