Our Review
The Buffet
Oh… My… Gosh! It was incredible! We tried a little bit of everything available. It all was great!
The smoked salmon was topped with micro greens. There was red onion, capers and cream cheese to accompany it. It was so good, you could eat it by itself.
There was house-made black bean hummus and guacamole. I loved the guacamole!
The artisanal meats and cheese were so good. It reminded me of having breakfast in Europe.
There were also parfaits to try. They consisted of Greek yogurt, house-made granola, honey and topped with either blueberry, mango or apple compote. You must make one!
This is just a sample of what will be offered at the various stations! There will so much more and we can’t wait to go back.
The Drinks
Guests can make their own Bloody Marys. There will be a large bar set up with all kinds of fun garnishes. We were only able to sample a fraction of what garnishes would be available. They’ll include various hot sauces, grape tomatoes, peppers, a variety of stuffed olives, lemons, limes, bacon wrapped asparagus, bacon and cocktails shrimp to name a few.
For my drink, I added a lime wedge, stuffed olive, tomato and a strip of bacon with a dash or two of one of the hot sauces. It was really good!
Since it was for research purposes we had to do the Bloody Mary Bar… and try a Mimosa. The Mimosas are made with freshly squeezed orange juice and Prosecco. It was very refreshing.
We think Sunday Funday is the perfect time to relax and enjoy the bottomless drinks!
The Entrée
For my entrée, I choose the Chicken and White Cheddar Waffles. The waffle is savory and has a bit of rosemary in it. The chicken is perfectly cooked and very tender. It’s topped with a roasted habañero pepper. Which I decided to not take a bite into it. It’s served with a spicy maple syrup. You have to try it with the syrup. It has a bit of a kick, but it’s not too spicy. It just makes the dish even better. It also comes with a side salad of mixed spring greens and house-made vinaigrette. I would DEFINITELY have this again!
The Desserts
You HAVE to save room for dessert! They are all made in-house and what we had room to try… was fantastic.
The Rollo de Guava, Tres Leches and Cheese Flan are on their menu to be enjoyed during lunch. In addition to those fabulous desserts will also be options like a chocolate peanut butter cup, fresh fruit tart and macarons. All the desserts were great. However, my favorite was the Tres Leches, it’s very light and the chocolate peanut butter cup, but I’m a huge fan of peanut butter with chocolate.
We would highly recommend trying this. It’s a great way to spend a Sunday morning/afternoon. Escape the parks and enjoy some incredible foods and drinks in a relaxing atmosphere. We think it’s the perfect way for couples or those traveling without children to spend a Sunday Funday… with the bottomless beverages, of course.
Please note, all prices and menu items are subject to change. The menu is still in development.
