Beach Side Bonfire Buffet debuts at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel in Disneyland Resort
27 July, 2015
In the midst of summer, Disneyland Resort has conjured up a beach party of sorts at the Paradise Pier Hotel. Over at Disney’s PCH Grill, you can indulge in a bevy of buffet items with their new Beach Side Bonfire Buffet Dinner option.
The inspiration for this new offering comes from the many gatherings that take place at beautiful beaches along the Pacific Coast Highway (or as we native Californians call it, “PCH”). Bring your appetite, the variety of food at this buffet will have you loosening up the string of your bathing suit.
Most people like starting their meal with a healthy salad. The Beach Side Bonfire Buffet has a number of choices including heirloom tomato and mozzarella salad and roasted potato salad. Or, if you prefer something entirely unique, they have a build-your-own salad bar. If you like seeing your food being cooked, then head on over to the seafood sauté station. There you can watch a professional prepare little neck claims with potatoes and chorizo in broth or shrimp Alfredo with cavatappi pasta. A magnificent carving station provides delicious meats sliced to your preference. The choice includes pork baby back ribs and dry-rubbed smoked tri-tip. Spice-rubbed pork shoulder is also available for your carnivorous pleasure, but not at the carving station. You can check out the mini taco station where you can get fish or veggie tacos. If pizza is your thing, then the wood-fired pizza will be right up your alley. There’s also roasted salmon, smashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables and fried chicken as well. As a family-friendly establishment, PCH Grill’s buffet offers many kid-friendly foods. The selections include cheeseburger sliders, mini hot dogs, and a mac ’n cheese bar. Dessert lovers will be in heaven with the number of dishes being featured. S’mores are a summertime favorite and here you can find a bar to build your own. There’s also a build-your-own strawberry shortcake station as well. Ice cream aficionados will surely delight in the gourmet selections. The list includes vanilla bean, strawberry mousse, and passion fruit. Taking a page from the Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta menu, the Beach Side Bonfire Buffet has a dessert pizza. This is brioche crust topped with fresh fruit and cooked in a wood-fire oven. Other fabulous flatbread-style desserts include a seasonal berry crisp and a milk chocolate caramel tart that’s topped with sea salt and yummy bacon brittle. The Hawaiian islands are well represented with the haupia dessert. This tropical delight is layers of coconut milk pudding, real coconut, and mango. The presentation is outstanding. For a refreshing drink to go along with your meal, PCH Grill has an exclusive “Party Wave” Lemonade that is chockfull of magical flavors. There’s also a watermelon lemonade to whet your whistle. Peach and orange tea will be available as well. All specialty drinks do cost extra though. Forget beach blanket bingo, head over to the Beach Side Bonfire Buffet for groovy summer fun. With enough food to feed an army of surfers, it’ll be worth the extra time at the gym.
