Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with La Cava del Tequila Sangrita recipe

Happy Cinco de Mayo! The holiday celebrates the freedom Mexico had during the American Civil War.  Today, it’s a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride and many American take part in the festivities.

If you’re at Disney World today, chances are good you’ll be headed to La Cava del Tequila for a drink or two. For those who can’t celebrate at La Cava del Tequila, you can make the La Cava del Tequila Sangrita to serve with your tequila shots. We’re so glad that our tequila bar decided to share this wonderful recipe!

La Cava del Tequila Sangrita

25 oz. tomato juice
6 serrano peppers, very finely chopped
1/2 red onion, very finely chopped
17 mint leaves, very finely chopped
7 oz. fresh lime juice
7 oz. fresh grapefruit juice
7 oz. fresh orange juice
3 oz. agave nectar
Salt, to taste

1. Mix all ingredients together and shake well.

This recipe makes roughly one gallon of Sangrita. Just what you’ll need to host a fun Cinco de Mayo party!
