Epcot Flower and Garden Festival: Pineapple Promenade
The Pineapple Promenade is very popular at the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival. It’s one of the only places outside of Magic Kingdom that you can get a Dole Whip this time of year. The most popular item is the grown-up versions with rum.
This year’s menu is very similar to last year’s. What’s new? The pineapple dog!
Since it was new, we just had to try the pineapple dog. It was pretty good. The hot dog was a little spicy, but the sweetness of the pineapple mellowed it out. It’s definitely worth a try.
To accompany our pineapple dog we had the Berry Tea Cocktail, Twinings Cold-Brewed Mixed Berry tea with Plant City strawberry flavored Florida cane vodka, and raspberry and açaà syrup. We really liked this! It was very light and refreshing. We just wish it had been a larger glass. If you like berries, give this drink a try.
The pineapple soft-serve (a.k.a. Dole Whip) was present again this year. The option with Parrot Bay Coconut Rum is back on the menu, but instead of spiced rum, there is Sammy’s Beach Bar Red Head Macadamia Nut-flavored Rum. We recommend trying both of them.
The featured product was Twinings Cold Brewed Iced Teas. They’re available in the Tea Caddy shop in the UK Pavilion. We’ve been a fan of these for a few years now. They’re great to add to your water bottle. We always keep a few of them in our backpack.
