New Capt. Cook’s menu debuted
There has been a lot of refurbishments going on at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Everything from the lobby to the pool to the eateries has been receiving a face-lift. Capt. Cook’s is no different. Take a look at the new menu!
For the most part the restaurant remains the same. The main dining area is still located as you enter the restaurant. New posters have been added around the dining room. Where you get your food and pay is still to the right of the entrance.
What you really want to know about… the menu!
The Bounty Breakfast Platter and Mickey Waffles, which can be found at all quick-service resort restaurants, is still on the menu. Everyone’s favorite – Tonga Toast, remains on the menu. How could Disney ever get rid of this!
Kids’ menu items include Oatmeal with fruit and turkey bacon, French Toast Sticks with bacon and grapes, Kid’s Mickey Waffle with bacon and grapes, and Egg White Scrambled with cheese and ham, yogurt and mixed fruit. All kids meals include small lowfat milk or small Dasani water and are just 4.99.
Flatbreads are also available. There is Hawaiian with marinara, pineapple, onions, ham, mozzarella and parmesan (9.99); Pepperoni with marinara, mozzarella, parmesan and pepperoni (8.79); Traditional with marinara and cheese (8.19) and a daily flatbread (8.19 – 9.99).
New menu items include fish tacos, chicken and waffles, udon nood bowl and coconut curry meatballs. One item that is missing from the menu is the grilled cheese sandwich. Vegetarians might want to ask the Cast Member to make the grilled ham and cheese without the ham.
For those of  unhappy about the loss of the Dole Whip, no worries! The Dole Whip will return to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, but a new location. Opening at the end of this month is Pineapple Lanai. It will be located in the courtyard and serve the Dole Whip and floats.
