New frightening food merchandise debuts at Disneyland and Walt Disney World for Halloween
19 September, 2015
Celebrate this year’s Halloween food festivities with some new merchandise. A trio of popcorn buckets will haunt your dreams along with a spooky sipper and scary stein.
The first popcorn bucket is in the shape of Vampire Mickey Mouse. Dressed in his Halloween best, he sports a set of fangs that would make Dracula jealous. The top of his head opens up to a reservoir filled with delicious Pop Secret popcorn. He will be available for purchase at the beginning of October at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. If you want to go old school, you definitely need to check out the cylindrical popcorn bucket adorned with artwork from the 1937 classic cartoon entitled Lonesome Ghosts It depicts pie-eyed Mickey Mouse in a detective outfit along with his buddies Donald Duck and Goofy. There’s also a matching sipper to go with the popcorn bucket. The illustration on this sipper has a different scene from the same “Lonesome Ghosts” cartoon. Both items will be available at both the Disneyland and Walt Disney World resorts. Making a return, but in a slightly modified form, is the Zero Premium Popcorn bucket. This highly sought after The Nightmare Before Christmas merchandise item was released last year. Due to its popularity, Disney brought it back. However, this time around, Zero will actually glow in the dark. His ghostly luminescence will perfectly compliment his glowing nose. Exclusive to Walt Disney World guests is the Poison Apple Stein. It will be available at the Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This cleaver looking stein appears to have melted white chocolate in the shape of a skull atop the red apple.Whether you’re at Disneyland or Walt Disney World, there’s something to get a rise out of your Halloween spirit. Have a safe and spooky time!
