Opening of new Disney restaurants and upcoming refurbishments
There’s been a lot going on at Disney World, with the opening of new Disney restaurants. There is something new to try in Disney Springs (Downtown Disney) and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Take a look!
In the soon-to-be The Landing in Disney Springs, Vivoli Gelateria has opened. It’s a Florentine gelateria plopped down in Disney World. They use only fresh, quality ingredients in their products. For more information, read our post about Vivoli Gelateria coming to Disney. In the coming weeks we’ll have a review for you.
Over in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, another location we’ve told you about is Zuri’s Sweets Shop. It’s located in the Harambe Market in Africa. It’s not a restaurant per-say, but it does offer guests delicious treats and some nice items to take home, like Flame Tree Barbecue Sauce.
Also opening in Disney’s Animal Kingdom was Creature Comfort on Discovery Island, a Starbucks location. Whether you’re a big Starbuck’s fan or Joffrey’s Coffee is more your style, one of the cool things about this location is that it supports conservation. Being located in the Animal Kingdom, this Starbucks will donate to the efforts to save the cotton-top taramin. A portion of the Flat White Latte will go to this cause. This drink was chosen because of the fluffy white tops to these animals.
So enough about what’s new. We’re on to refurbishments, those restaurants that you won’t be dining at while they improve their location. One much needed refurbishment that we’ve told you about it Planet Hollywood. We now have the official dates – January 1 through June 1, 2016. A new location added to the list is Fulton’s Crab House. This signature dining restaurant will be closed January 1 through April 1, 2016. We are excited to see all the changes!
