Planet Hollywood will soon be re-imagined
Planet Hollywood made an announcement that the Downtown Disney Planet Hollywood will soon be re-imagined to Planet Hollywood Observatory.
Downtown Disney has been under construction for some time now, transforming the current area into Disney Springs. Some of the changes that have already taking place include new shops opening, Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC (formerly BabyCakes) has opened and soon the addition of Morimoto Asia, The BOATHOUSE and STK Orlando.
Planet Hollywood will also be doing some updates. The iconic restaurant will be transformed into Planet Hollywood Observatory with a turn-of-the-century design. The restaurant will be a four-story observatory with expanded outdoor terrace and bar.
The Planet Hollywood Observatory’s exterior will match that of Disney Springs. The interior will get new upholstery, lightening, glass displays that pay tribute to hollywood, and have a more welcoming feel than the current restaurant. There will now be a lounge option and outdoor terrace and bar – Stargazers. The main dining room will feature DJ performance and Stargazers will have live entertainment.
The menu will be updated as well. There will be classic menu items with new additions. A variety of milkshakes, smoothies, wines, bottled and draft beers, and cocktails in new specialty glassware. Planet Hollywood is looking to appeal to all guests, both young and old.
The re-imagining will take place starting early next and will debut with its new design in spring 2016.
