Review: Trader Sam’s Coffee Company Disney-inspired coffees

Recently, we received a box of delicious coffees from Trader Sam’s Coffee Company. Thanks to Kat Cressida for introducing us to this great coffee company! They make a special coffee for her character in The Haunted Mansion – Constance Hatchaway, the black widow bride.

About

You may have heard of Trader Sam’s Coffee Company. They started as Smiling Dog Coffee to help provide funding relief to dog rescues across the country. Then they launched their Trader Sam’s line of coffees which are themed to various Disney Park attractions. These have labels specially created by guest artists.

The coffees are made from selectively sourced Arabica beans from farms in Africa, Central and South America. They use only premium and specialty grade coffee beans that are gluten-free (including the flavors) and Kosher. All of the coffees using only natural extracts and raw sugars. So they are definitely a premium coffee!

Coffees

The coffees we received were the Main Street U.S.A. Colombian, Ghoulish Delight, Plus Ultra Vanilla, Matterhorn Bobsledder’s Brew, and Prospector’s Roast. We’ve tried all of the coffees and every one of them was delicious and easy to drink. Here’s what we thought of each of them.

Main Street U.S.A. Colombian – For those who don’t like flavored coffees, this one is for you. It’s a single origin, medium body and well balanced coffee. If you’re looking for a good all-day coffee to drink that isn’t flavored, this is your coffee.

Plus Ultra Vanilla – If you like vanilla, you must try this one. It has a nice rich vanilla taste and creamy texture. It’s flavor is specifically French Vanilla, which I think makes it better than most vanilla flavored coffees. We really enjoyed this flavor, much more than we had expected.

Prospector’s Roast – This is another tasty coffee. This one is hazelnut flavored. It’s not overpowering like some hazelnut coffees are.

Matterhorn Bobsledder’s Brew – Surprisingly, this was our favorite flavor. Trader Sam’s absolutely delivers on the fudge brownie flavor! It’s like drinking a cup of fudge brownie without the extremely richness and calories. Even if you’re not a big fan of chocolate, you’ll love it.

Ghoulish Delight – This is the one that I thought would be our favorite. It’s cinnamon bun flavored and we love cinnamon buns. Who doesn’t? It really tastes like a cinnamon bun but without all of the sweetness from the frosting. The cinnamon flavor is just right. Some coffees it’s really strong and tastes like someone dropped the bottle of cinnamon in it. Not this one! I might not have been number one but it’s tied at two with vanilla.

Next up on our list to try is going to be Happily Never After (Kat Cressida’s themed coffee), Skipper’s Brew, Enchanted Tiki Coconut (we love coconut!), and Mad Chocolate Biscotti.

In addition to the coffees, they also cell mugs, t-shirts and reusable K-Cup pods. You can even give gift cards. All of the coffees are 10 for a 12 oz. bag except for Main Street U.S.A. Colombian, it’s 11. Make sure to check them out online and follow them on social media!

Have you tried any of Trader Sam’s Coffee Company coffees? If so, we’d love to hear about which ones are your favorite.
