Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto coming to Polynesian Village Resort

We are so thrilled to be sharing this news! Yesterday it was announced that Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto would be coming to the re-imagined Polynesian Resort. Disney’s Polynesian Resort will also be undergoing a name change, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, which was the original name the resort had when it opened in 1971.

For guests who have been to Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar in the Disneyland Hotel, this is news is so exciting! The bar in Anaheim, CA is so popular that often the only seating available is outside the bar on the patio. Guests wanting to go inside have to stand and wait (which can be a very long wait).

We’ve got a look at the concept art for the Disney World location. We think this is going to be awesome! And for those that miss the Adventure’s Club, formerly in Downtown Disney’s Pleasure Island, we think this is going to be a fantastic replacement. Hopefully we’ll see the Kungaloosh on the menu, as well as some souvenir glasses like they have in Disneyland.
