The Field Greens with Plant City Strawberries, Toasted Almonds and Farmstead Stilton was a nice change from the heirloom tomatoes they had last year. The vinegarette was really light. It paired well with the sweetness of the strawberries and strong flavor of the Stilton.
We were so glad to see this dish return. The Freshly Baked Potato and Cheddar Cheese Biscuit with Salmon Tartare was one of our favorites in 2013. The salmon has great flavor and is very mild. It goes wonderfully with the fresh biscuit.
This was one of my favorite drinks this year! The Berry Tea Cocktail is Twinings Cold Brew Mixed Berry Tea with Plant City Strawberry flavored Florida Cane Vodka, Raspberry and Acaà Syrup. The drink sounds like it would be very sweet but it wasn’t. In fact, it was perfectly sweetened and very refreshing. It definitely is a perfect drink for a hot summer day in Florida.
Have you tried the items at Buttercup Cottage? Did you enjoy them as much as we did? We’d love to hear about your experience!
