Germany and Brewer’s Collection at the 2014 Epcot Food and Wine Festival

Germany and Brewer’s Collection at the 2014 Epcot Food and Wine Festival sit next to each other with only a beirgarten-style area between them. At Germany, you’ll find food and wine and at Brewer’s Collection, German beers… two things that go perfect together.

Add to the Germany booth menu items this year is a German Riesling Flight for $4.25. It’s not a bad price for a sampling of 3 wines. Wines here can be purchased in a souvenir wine glass for just $4.

New this year is the Berliner, a yeast doughnut filled with apricot jam. It was delicious! The doughnut was moist and the apricot jam added just a bit of sweetness.

Since Brewer’s Collection is located next to the Germany booth we decided to grab a beer flight here. There are eight beers and two beer flights to enjoy. Between the two booths are several high top tables to grab for enjoying your snacks and drinks.

We decided to try the Beer Flight #1. It includes Radeberger Pilsner, BraufactuM Colonia, BraufactuM Palor and Schöfferhofer Grapefruit. The Radeberger Pilsner and Schöfferhofer Grapefruit are available all year long in the Germany Pavilion. The pilsner is light, refreshing and easy to drink. The grapefruit beer is a hefeweizen that has been blended with grapefruit juice. It’s a perfect summer beer. Those who are fans of Blue Moon will love this beer.

BraufactuM Colonia and BraufactuM Palor are new this year. The Colonia is a hoppy beer and those who are fans of IPAs will enjoy this one. The Palor on the other hand is a less bitter and more flavorful beer. We preferred it between the two.
