More information on Trattoria al Forno
We’ve told you a little bit about Trattoria al Forno and now we have more information. The Italian restaurant replace Kouzzina by Cat Cora is scheduled to open on December 18, 2014… just in time to enjoy for Christmas or New Year’s. The dining room features a big open kitchen to give guests the feeling of being in the Italian countryside.
Breakfast
We’ve already told you about the dinner menu so now we’re telling you about the breakfast menu! Guests can enjoy a classic American breakfast with bacon and eggs or delicious Italian-style dishes. Options include a frittata and the scrambled eggs with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes and basil; cured Italian meats with tomatoes, hard-boiled egg and cheese with fonduta; and poached eggs, fennel sausage, Parmesan and tomato gravy served over soft polenta. We love the sound of the waffles with espresso-mascarpone cream!
Wine
Wine is just as important as food in Italy. Trattoria al Forno’s wine list will highlight the wine regions of Italy. Every wine on the menu will be Italian! The list has 70 wines from 20 regions. More than 30 wines will be available by the glass with prices starting at $8. Quartinos, quarter-liter carafes, will also be available. Some of the wines being offered will include Chiantis and Super Tuscans from Tuscany and Barolo and Moscato d’Asti from Piedmont.
Vinnie Tai, area manager for Disney’s Boardwalk food and beverage team told Disney Parks Blog, “We’ve been training for three months so that our servers are part of the immersive dining experience of dining at Trattoria al Forno.” The servers have been trained by master sommeliers and wine educators from Italy. By opening, the staff will have tried every wine on the menu. Such a tough job! 😉 The staff will able to match wines with those similar to grape varietal from around the world. They’ll be able to inform you that Primitivo from Italy’s Puglia region is similar to a Zinfandel and so much more.
Trattoria al Forno will be open 7:30 am – 11 am for breakfast and 5 – 10 m for dinner. The Disney Dining Plan is accepted. For reservations, call (407) WDW-DINE or disneyworld.com/dine.

Thanks for the information. This breakfast menu sounds very interesting, and it is actually quite reasonable price-wise for a Disney option. Our home resort is BWV, so we will be anxious to try it next time we stay.
Did you mean to say that the Disney Dining Plan is **accepted** (not excepted)?
Dining at Disney
I thought that they seemed very reasonable too.
