The heirloom tomatoes were very fresh, and the house-made mozzarella and vinegar made this salad great.
We loved the cheddar cheese biscuit with smoked salmon and sour cream! The salmon was very fresh and had a little bit of lemon and dill. The biscuit wasn’t too cheesy, and it was still hot adding a nice contrast to the chilled salmon.
The baked goat’s brie topped with kumquat chutney is delicious. The brie has a nice flavor and the chutney adds a little bit of sweetness and tang.
The trifles are available individually or you can get the trio. We tried all three and found them to be about 2-3 bites each. The chocolate trifle consisted of chocolate mousse topped with vanilla cream. It was the heaviest of the three and is best when saved for last.
The berry trifle was a favorite. It was very light, the lightest of all three. We’d recommend starting with this one.
The most unique trifle was the ginger and green tea. It had just a hint of ginger and you could really taste the green tea. If you aren’t going to get the trio, definitely get this one.
Have you tried any of the items at The Cottage? Which ones are your favorite?
