Urban Farm Eats at the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival
Debuting at the 2014 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival is Urban Farm Eats. The Outdoor Kitchen features an all-natural menu.
Urban Farm Eats focuses on aquaponics. Aquaponics is the combination of harvesting fish and hydroponically growing vegetables in a recirculating system. The fish waste supplies nutrients to the plants and the plants filter the water for the fish. Next to Urban Farm Eats was a display set up so you could see aquaponics in action.

We just had to try the Ghost Pepper-dusted Tilapia! This was one of our favorites. The ghost pepper wasn’t too hot and the crunchy winter melon slaw was a nice contrast in flavor and texture. The Vegan Vine Chardonnay was much better than we expected and we found it to be a nice pairing with the spicy seasoning on the fish. If you haven’t tried it, you definitely should.
