Vivoli Gelateria will be opening soon in Downtown Disney
We’ve been telling you about all of the new places that have come and are coming to Downtown Disney, as it transforms into Disney Springs. One of the new dining locations we’ve told you about, Vivoli Gelateria, will be opening soon.
Vivoli Gelateria is a gelateria in Florence, Italy. It’s listed as one of the top ten best places for gelato by Visit Florence. If you’ve ever been to Florence, it’s located near Santa Croce, the basilica. If it’s so good that it’s ranked in the top ten by the Fiorentinos, it must be pretty good.
According to Disney Parks Blog, this will be the second location and first outside of Italy for this family-run shop. It was founded in 1932 by three brothers and just had dairy. After World War II, thanks to technology, they starting making gelato.
Silvana Vivoli, the granddaughter of Raphael Vivoli, one of the company’s founders, told Disney that the gelato is made with fresh, top-quality ingredients using the exact same recipes. Vivoli plans to use local and seasonal ingredients, as well as imported hazelnut, pistachio and cocoa powder from Italy.
In addition to gelato, guests will also be able to enjoy traditional Italian panini, biscotti, espresso and tarts. Vivoli Gelateria is scheduled to open at the end of this month. We’ll keep you posted on the date and plan on having some photos to share with you soon after it opens.
