2016 Epcot Food and Wine Festival teaser

Now that the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival is almost over, Disney is now teasing us with what’s to come to the 2016 Epcot Food and Wine Festival. The festival will be taking place Sep. 14 through Nov. 14, a full 62 days. That’s right… more than 2 months of food and wine.

Some of the things that we have to look forward to food-wise include a beef brisket and pimento cheese sandwich from Hops and Barley, vegan Greek nachos and a hard soda ice-cream float. There will also be a new cooking school (no details yet, like I said… Disney is teasing us) and hands-on experiences in the Festival Center. Some of the chefs that have already committed to being at the festival include Jamie Deen, “Cake Boss” Buddy Valastro, Masaharu Morimoto, Elizabeth Faulkner, Norman Van Aken and Cat Cora. I don’t know about you, but we’d love to attend an event with Masaharu Morimoto or Norman Van Aken at the helm.

Of course there is more than just food. You can also enjoy the Eat to the Beat concert series at American Gardens Theatre. It’s included in your theme park admission and it’s a great way to whine down. We don’t know the full schedule yet. What we do know if that Wang Chung (the 80’s band… “Everybody have fun tonight. Everybody Wang Chung tonight.”) will kick of the event. Also, there will be eight new acts and returning acts including Wilson Phillips and Boyz II Men.

Once Disney release more information, we’ll let you know so keep checking back!

What do you look forward to most at Epcot Food and Wine Festival? For us, it’s the Marketplace booths and amazing chefs.
