Epcot Flower and Garden Festival: Jardin de Fiestas and Taste of Marrakesh
Jardin de Fiestas in the Mexico Pavilion and Taste of Marrakesh at the Moroccan Pavilion are returning Outdoor Kitchens to the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival. Take a look at what we tried!
Jardin de Fiestas
The menu is pretty much the same as last year. The only difference is the vegetable quesadilla. Last year, it was just mushrooms.
Since we enjoyed it last year, we decided to have it again – Taco al Pastor, a corn tortilla filled with achiote marinated pork, garnished with grilled diced pineapple, onions, cilantro and salsa verde. It’s a pretty good dish. It’s not spicy and salsa verde is a nice contrast to the achiote marinated pork.
Taste of Marrakesh
The harissa chicken kebab with sweet couscous salad is the only returning menu item.
The falafel pocket with cucumber tomato salad and Tahini sauce and pistachio baklava was okay. I’m not a fan of falafel, as I find it to be too dry. However, my dining companions felt differently about the dish… they enjoyed it. This is an excellent choice for vegetarians.
The pistachio baklava is always good! It replaced the baghrir, Moroccan pancake with honey, almonds and Argon oil. Typically guests see this fan-favorite dish during the Epcot Food and Wine Festival, but it can be enjoyed right now.
