Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar is set to open this fall
Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar is set to open this fall in Downtown Disney, soon-to-be Disney Springs. The lounge will be located between the expanding Paradiso 37 and newly opened, The BOATHOUSE.
According to Disney Parks Blog, Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar will be an aviation-themed bar named for Indy’s pilot in “Indian Jones”. The bar will be decorated with propeller-based fans, a diving bell “booth”, vintage travel posters and correspondences between Jock, Indy and their fellow adventurers. The lounge will seat 150 guests and an expansive bar in the main dining room. Outside, guests will be able to relax in Jocks’ permanently docked old steamboat, named for his pet snake – Reggie. Disney emphasizes that Reggie will be an important part of the bar. We just don’t know how.
The bar will be Disney-owned and operated. (Hopefully this means that they’ll accept Tables in Wonderland and Disney Dining Plan. Fingers, crossed!) The menu will feature unique cocktails, such as Hovito Mojito” Barsol Quebranta Pisco, fresh lime juice and simple syrup. Small plates will include “Air Pirates Everything Pretzels” with house-made mustard and beer cheese fondue, and “Rolling Boulder Meatballs”.
Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar is another exciting addition to the other dining establishments in what will be The Landing. Currently, there is Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant (a favorite of ours!), Paradiso 37 (which is undergoing an expansion), newly opened The BOATHOUSE, soon-to-be refurbished Planet Hollywood, and the soon-to-open STK Orlando and Morimoto Asia. The Landing will be full of fantastic dining options… and we can’t wait!
