The Polite Pig opens on Monday, April 10 in Disney Springs

We are so excited to hear that The Polite Pig will be opening on Monday, April 10 in Disney Springs. This restaurant features modern barbecue and beers on tap.

Not only do we know when they are opening, but we have a look at their amazing menu. Guests will be able to enjoy snacks, fresh salads, sandwiches, items from the smoker, market sides, and Orange Blossom Honey Cake or Key Lime Pie for dessert.

The fresh salads have the option to add smoked chicken or salmon. Sandwiches include Smoked Chicken Salad with whole grain mustard, celery and grapes; The Southern Pig – pulled pork, apple slaw, mustard sauce, and Duke’s mayo; and Brisket BLT with bacon jam, marinated tomato, romaine, and aioli. From the smoker, guests can choose from Half Chicken with a citrus rub, Brisket with coffee rub, Pork Shoulder with polite rub, Wild Salmon with maple-mustard glaze and St. Louis Ribs with Layla sweet rub. Items from the smoker come with a choice of one of the nine market sides. All of the sides sound delicious. I don’t know how we’ll be able to choose just one!

One of the most important things about barbecue… the sauce. The Polite Pig has seven sauces to choose from and there is something for everyone. Whether you like a vinegar based sauce, a sweet sauce, a mustard based sauce or a spicy sauce there is one for you.

There are a variety of beers on tap include some local brews. Guests can order them by the glass or pitcher, as well as the house cocktails. White and red wines are available by the glass. One of the most unique things about The Polite Pig – the Bourbon Bar. They have over 50 bourbons to choose from including rye and reserves. If you’re a bourbon drinker, make sure you ask them about their flights. You’ll definitely want to try one of those.

The Polite Pig does accept the Disney Dining Plan and offers a 10% discount for Walt Disney World Annual Passholders. However, at this time Tables in Wonderland is not accepted.

We are extremely excited to try this new restaurant in Disney Springs. Our most difficult decision will be what to start with. It all sounds delicious to us!
